Paper Dolls

I've had so much fun making these little dolls. It kind of takes you back to your childhood days, dressing them up with cloths and jewelry, hats and shoes. My inspiration for these little cuties is from Mary Jane Chadbourne and Linda Cain. The absolutely awesome stamps are from Catherine Moore, and if you've seen their work you know what I'm talking about. Hope you like them as much as I do.

I wanted to share something that I have made using 12 playing cards this time. I watch a video on Donna Downey's site. A cool technique altering 12 cards at a time . Check it out...

I didn't get pics when I was putting all the paint on, but just lightly tape together 3 rows of 4 cards. Go to town on layering and painting. When dry carefully cut them apart and tape together 6 side by side.

Add rub ons, stickers, doodles and make a little art journals.

With the remaining cards you didn't use think about using them for some "abandoned art"

Journal Spread for Scrapafrica

Just a quick share of my journal layout for  one of my challenge blogs Scrap Africa. We used a mood board below 

...and this is what I came up with in my art journal...

Again I used some deli paper from my Gelli plate, embossed some wooden birdcages and added some Prima flowers and half back pearls from Miriam's Crafting Supplies.  I think it came out pretty good, what do you think?  Come on over to Scrapafrica.blogspot.com and give it a go. Scrap Africa Sketch Challenge

Well this month's sketch challenge was a little difficult for me because I was trying to do a "scrapbook" page, well we all know I don't do scrapbook pages, I'll leave that to the professionals. lol So I just stuck with what I know, art journaling. So here is my sketch challenges to submit, the birds are in the right place, hehe. The background I used some gelli prints that I made using the wonder "deli paper", using modge podge I glued it to my art journal page. I used some embossing ink and made some "brick-like" structures. Stamped a few of Ranger birds, oh how I love these stamps and cut them out. I had just received some wonderful Inka-gold in turquoise and lavender and used it on my metal pieces and that's all she wrote. Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

52 Card Update....9 done

Ok, so I started my cards and I have 9 so far. I posted one over at Mischief Circus and got a great comment from Mary Jane herself. Wow... So anyway I haven't heard from any of you yet, but I have a lot mor to make so if you would like to join in then C'mon in, the waters great. Here are the ones I've done so far.
