52 Card WHAT?

Good Morning my friends. I was just parusing around Facebook and came across Mary Jane Chadbourn's post showing her fantastic ATC's, I could see that she used a playing card to make these.  I left a "like" and a "comment" "I love your work so much, I've been wanting to do a 52 card ATC stack for over a year now" well as I told MaryJane "now is as good as time is any" So I picked out a brand new pack of playing cards and started putting Gesso on them and started thinking about what in the world would I be putting on all of these, could I be creative enough to fill each one? Then I looked around my craft room and there is absolutely so much stuff, I decided to take one of every color of every type of paint I owned, (that's more than 52 all by itself) and one stamp on each one, or 2, or 3, lol there is more than 52 of those as well, the list goes on and on.  Then I started thinking it might be kinda fun to do it with you guys too. I don't really want it to be a contest, but a place we could just show off our cards, or we could create a pinterest board, or ...... Anyway it will be a good way to try out all of the items I have, some never used, bought a set for one or two particular things and whats left, I don't even know. So leave a comment if you want to take the plunge to the bottom of our craft room wares and make some ATC cards. Here is where I at with my cards.

I'm having some real fun here!

Just wanted to share a few things I've been playing around with. I'm sure I'm in need of some sunshine because of all the bright colors I'm playing with. Lots of fun using my Gelli plate and chalk paints. Have a look and let me know what you think. Want some sunshine too?

Some Gelli printing making tags and art journal pages.

A few bright clips, these are always a quick easy way to get your mojo going.

These are a couple very cute canvas's I made while watching Limor's class on Prima's U-Stream class. Hope you like what you see. Well, I'm off to work this weekend, see you soon ❤️

New to the Design Team - Scrap Africa

Hello everyone!!! So excited to post that I've been asked to join the awesome design team over at Scrap Africa. This challenge is "Die Cuts" using them any way you like with any kind of medium.  Who doesn't like die cuts? There are awesome sponsors and prizes but also the opportunity to learn and create with a wonderful talented group of people. So come on over and join us, won't you?

Below is my project.  I used one of Finnabair's new stamp release as the focal point, of course lots of gel medium, glass glitter and micro beads.  The die's are from Tim Holtz oval frame and wings.  I think it came together pretty well...what do you think? Lots of sparkle and shine.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon :)

First Post on Blogger.. I'm going on another ride!!!

Well I'm starting a new blog over here on Blogger and "I just Know" it will be great. A new year and a new blog.  Lots of exciting things in store for me this year.  I really plan to step up my game and work on lots of mixed media projects using some of the great new products out there right now or will be arriving soon. Finnabair's gesso's, gells, and pastes are really great to use and adding the new beads, glitter and mica powders is really going to make it fun.  I use plenty of die cutting machines and plan to take them to their limit this year. Most of you know I had the awesome pleasure of attending Prima's Art Venture in Anaheim this year and learned so much from some awesome artists.  I can't wait to start working with all the new paper collections and embellishments that will be released soon.  I may even try to submit some entry's to one of our very own Art Hops in our nearby town and get some feedback on my artwork.  I have also been privileged to be asked to work as a design team member for some outstanding challenge blogs, badges posted here on this page. It only gets better from here.  So I hope you will join me in this great year of development in all ways and please leave a comment or suggestions for me on this site. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day.

PS: This site is, as I'm sure you have realized, a "site in progress" so bare with me as I add all of the wonderful friends, blogs and websites to this page to share for you all. I'll also be adding a gallery as fast as I can and figure out how to do. :)
